I’m not missing our pets. I’m not.
Around our neighbourhood, Trastevere
Trastevere is renowned for its considered and loving care of street cats. The gattari, cat ladies, take on most of this unpaid work. It’s a labour of love.
Around Vicola del Leopardo, you will find beautiful small streets and much support for furry friends through feeding, housing and accepting donations if you are feeling the love.

Cats around Rome
The Largo Di Torro Argentina ancient site is possibly the most famous cat sanctuary in the city.
Read the moving story of the sanctuary’s beginnings and continued success with neutering and caring for felines.
Admittedly, most people come to this archeological site because it includes remnants of the Senate building where Julius Caesar was stabbed to death in a bloody free-for-all.

Sorry, Dan, I completely lost track of the impending trip and missed out on wishing you bon voyage and safe trip, etc. And there you are; roaming in Rome and immediately drawn to its furrier inhabitants. I’m very much looking forward to joining you on your travels via this blog. Have the best of times. Love Mon x
Gracias, Mon. We did tend to slip away without notice 😁. Today we head for the French Alps via Geneva. Rome was fantastic!
Hey Rob,
I suggest you take over the money control until your leave the ‘cat’ town!! I saw the word ‘donation’ – watch her, you’ll lose it all!
