Jurien Bay is 2 hours north of Perth. There’s not much to recommend the town except its easy access to colonies of endangered sea lions. We were lucky enough to swim with three juveniles and a female.
The sea lions aren’t ‘lured’ to the tour boat. They choose to swim out from Seal Island and join us, then leave when they want to. They seem to enjoy our company as much as we enjoy theirs. In one of the videos with the female, she raises her flipper and ‘waves’ as she heads home.
Apologies for the video quality – first-time GoPro user. Thanks for watching.
It looks amazing. And pretty good for A Go-Pro beginner. 😄
Well, thanks, but there was a teeny bit of video editing involved. It was chaotic fun.
Wonderful! We did the Great Barrier Reef today it was amazing 🙂
Oh, you lucky thing! That must have been brilliant. Hi to Nik, Linda and the kids.
Careful they don’t bite you on the bum! Vicious little sods!
Haha, Murray and Sally said the same. But they were super-cute, like collies of the sea, Frank.
