You get a hint of Margaret River’s wine credentials several kilometres before hitting the town. First you go through the town of Capel (Capel Vale) and later you cross the Vasse River (Vasse Felix).

In Margaret River, we enjoyed the beautiful hospitality of Sally and Murray, their sweet dog, Max, and a flock of friendly chickens that gently peck your legs.

Spectacular dinner, great chai latte, an evening walk on Prevelly dog beach, and a morning of backyard birdwatching. Thanks for your generous hospitality, guys! And for the citrus haul and Peck-A-Leg eggs. We will be back 😀.
