La Gioconda was rejected

Who doesn’t want to see the Mona Lisa when in Paris?

Kids, apparently. Well, ours didn’t want to anyway. It had been raining for days and the boys just needed to run.  So we bypassed the Louvre (it was tough) and hit the grounds near the ‘secret’ side entrance.

Seeing a couple of dog walkers with their very Parisian pooches on the immaculate grass gave us the courageous to whip out the  tennis ball for a quick game of mini soccer.

Not me though. Are you kidding? I wandered off to check out the evocative statues in the Tuileries gardens.

You can now walk on the grass at some of Paris’ famous parks, including the patch outside the Louvre, in the Jardin des Tuileries.
